Beginning Aug. 1, 2010, the Skagit County EMS Commission will implement changes to its public CPR and first aid program. The class fee will increase from $10 to $20. In order to ensure that we have classes filled by those intending on taking the class, payments will be non-refundable and non-transferable. Class attendees will be required to pay in advance via phone with a credit card. Students can pay in advance in person at the EMS Commission office with check or cash, or by mail with check. These changes stem from the desire of many to be able to pay via more convenient method, and to ensure that those who sign up for the class actually arrive. CPR and first aid certification is from the American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) and is valid for two years. For more information, contact our office at 428-3230.
